Ronaldo Receives Guinness World Records Certificate For Most International Caps

Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo on Tuesday was awarded a Guinness World Records certificate for having the most international caps of any male player.

The certificate was presented at a special ceremony held before Portugal’s Euro 2024 qualifier against Iceland, in which the former Real Madrid and Manchester United star scored the game’s only goal.

Ronaldo’s remarkable achievement of having the most international caps demonstrates his steadfast dedication to the sport.

Since making his senior debut for Portugal against Kazakhstan in August 2003, he has consistently represented his country at the highest level. This honour cements Ronaldo’s place as one of the greatest football players of all time.

The 38-year-old holds the distinction of being Portugal’s all-time leading scorer with 123 goals.

Ronaldo’s previous successes in winning the European Championship in 2016 and the Nations League in 2019 further enhance his remarkable career.
