Black Sherif Drops Action Packed Visuals For “45” | WATCH

Black Sherif has shared all-new visuals for “45” — a track from his debut album, The Villain I Never Was, released on October 6 via Blacko Management with global support from EMPIRE.

Sherif plays the record’s protagonist outlaw in the video, directed by “Boy Director” TG Omori, with scenes of lavish partying and paranoid, late-night reflection interspersed with the video’s main plot line: a frantic police chase. At the end, he is cornered by two cop cars on a deserted, sandy strip outside the city, and he sets himself and his car on fire before walking away from the wreckage, fully ablaze but seemingly unscathed.

“45” is an illustrative example of the Sherif expertly blends Afrobeats and Ghanaian drill, creating something a sound slightly more akin to western hip-hop than that of his Nigerian counterparts.
