David Adeleke, commonly known as Davido, has admitted lying to Chioma in order to convince her to appear in the music video for his song Assurance.
In an interview with Ebuka on the Black Box series, the music singer revealed this while discussing the origins of their relationship.
He stated that he had known her for nearly seven years and that his friend, Lati, introduced them.
According to the DMW chief, when the two met, they were still students at Babcock University.
Davido stated that she refused to appear in the Assurance video, but he begged her and lied that it was really essential to him, so she accepted.
Chioma, according to him, never sought the celebrity life, yet she handled it so well despite receiving hate comments for being in a relationship with him.
He added that even if she is not her daughter, he can have his first child, Imade, with her and be confident that nothing would go wrong. This is one of the main reasons he believes she is the one.
