Luis Enrique Sends Ferran Torres Warning Over Getting Daughter Pregnant

Spain manager Luis Enrique has told Ferran Torres that if he celebrates with a baby finger in the mouth gesture, he will not "set foot on a football pitch again."

Torres is dating Enrique's daughter Sira Martinez, who scored twice in Spain's 7-0 thrashing of Costa Rica.

Torres dedicated his two goals on Wednesday to his girlfriend, who was in attendance at Al Thumama Stadium, after the couple announced their relationship in January.

Torres and Enrique appear to have a good working and personal relationship, but the gaffer is not ready to be a grandfather anytime soon.

When asked how he would react if Torres scored and celebrated by implying he would become a father, the former Barcelona manager hinted at becoming a father.

And he issued a strong warning to his future son-in-law, telling Torres, "I would replace him in that moment, put him in the stands, and he would never set foot on a football field again."

Prior to Spain's 7-0 thrashing in Doha, Enrique was asked who he is most like among Spain's 26-man squad.

To avoid the wrath of his daughter, he picked Torres without any hesitation.

“That’s very easy: it’s Mr Ferran Torres. Otherwise, my daughter will come after me and chop off my head,” Enrique said.

Enrique might strike you as someone who could be difficult to impress but former Manchester City striker Torres has spoken fondly of Enrique before and said that the ex Real Madrid man was like a “father” to him.

“I only have words of thanks. I consider him my father, he is like our father,” he explained.

“Since I have come to the national team, he has welcomed me in a spectacular way, he has given me all his confidence.

“This is what any player would want.”

Enrique has been documenting his World Cup experience on Twitch, where he recently launched a channel.

During a recent live broadcast, he mentioned his players having sex before games as long as it wasn't "an orgy."

Torres and Spain return to action on Sunday against Germany at the Al Bayt Stadium.
