100-Years-Old Runs 100-Meter Race In Vancouver


At 100 years old, New Yorker Ida Keeling has set a new world record in the 100-meter dash for runners over 80 years old, with a time of 1 minute and 17 seconds.

Ida Keeling, who also holds the record for fastest time in the 60-meter dash for U.S. for her age, took up running to cope with the deaths of her two sons and has continued with the help of her track and field coach daughter.
