Erling Haaland Signs New Boot Deal With Nike

Erling Haaland has ended speculation over his next boot deal by re-signing with Nike.

The Athletic exclusively revealed the US sportswear giant were leading the race for him back in February after his last contract with them expired in January 2022.

The Norwegian had been pictured in footwear of Nike as well as rivals Adidas and Puma since then as he weighed up his options.

But he has made his decision and joins Nike’s star-studded roster of talent including Kylian Mbappe, Kevin De Bruyne Leah Williamson and Alexia Putellas.

Haaland’s camp were looking for a healthy financial package throughout the process although comfort and satisfaction with the product was always the priority.

Nike cite the 22-year-old’s “unprecedented rise through European club football” with his goalscoring feats only further cementing “his stamp on the future of the game” as one of the faces of the brand.

Haaland has scored 42 goals in 37 games for Manchester City this season and has become the youngest player in Champions League history to reach 30 goals.

Manchester City are next in action against Liverpool on Saturday in the Premier League with Haaland facing a race to be fit after picking up an injury during the international break.
