David Beckham’s Son Joins Brentford’s B Team On A One-Year Deal

Romeo Beckham, the son of former England captain David Beckham, has made a significant step forward in his football career by signing a one-year contract with Brentford’s B team, with the option of extending for another year.

This comes after Romeo’s loan spell at Brentford in the second half of the 2022-23 season, where he impressed under head coach Neil MacFarlane.

Romeo impressed during his loan spell with Brentford after previously playing for Inter Miami, a club co-owned by his father.

The 20-year-old midfielder impressed the coaching staff with his skills in 15 appearances for the Bees. He also showed off his playmaking skills at Inter Miami II in the 2022 Major League Soccer (MLS) Next season, providing an impressive tally of 10 assists in 20 games.

Neil MacFarlane expressed his satisfaction with Romeo’s performance and welcomed his return to the team.

The head coach highlighted Romeo’s contributions to the squad, both on and off the pitch, and expressed excitement about continuing to work with him in the upcoming season.

MacFarlane praised Romeo’s development, particularly in terms of his ability to make an impact with and without possession of the ball.

Brentford B, established in 2016, does not participate in a league but engages in various cup competitions and arranges friendly matches.
