Ruger has called out his former record label as he revealed why he left them.
The singer, who was signed to Jonzing World, a Nigerian record label and management company founded by D'Prince, said he left because the label got too comfortable with the money they were making off him and couldn't push him any longer.
He wrote on X: “As much as I’m very appreciative of the fact that Jonzing World introduced me to the world, I just couldn’t continue with them because they got too comfortable with the money they were making from me and couldn’t push me further as I wanted to be pushed. Was supposed to renegotiate the contract but I couldn’t imagine 5 years more without action.”
He added: “Dey use my money Dey fund new artist, leaving me in the dark, not being transparent. I just laugh how e be now.”
He also insinuated that he fears for his life, so can't speak much on the issue.
After leaving Jonzing World, Ruger set up his own label which he calls BlownBoy Entertainment.
